The Board faces many challenges in the next year, including planning for the opening of the Errea House as a House Museum, expanding the Tehachapi Museum in its current location as well as planning for a future exhibition space, which will be located at the Tehachapi Performing Arts and Museum Center.
Fund raising and building membership through individual, family and business membership will be a priority.
There is an immediate need in the current Museum for renovation, more display cases, a security system and additional docents to fulfill the Museum’s mission as an educational facility.
There are many community involvement opportunities in all areas, including computer input, curatorial and grant writing. Other volunteers are needed to continue developing the turn of the century garden at the Errea House and developing displays for both the Museum and Errea House.
